On Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Place Bonaventure, experience the sights, smells, tastes and sounds of the Caribbean without leaving Montreal . The 10th annual “A taste of the Caribbean ” will welcome national culinary teams from The Dominican Republic, St. Thomas Virgin Islands, Barbados , and St. Lucia to thrill members of the general public.

Over 100 Caribbean dishes from 20 Caribbean Islands will be the order of the day. Rotis, ox-tail, curry coconut shrimp, samana style fish, curry goat, flying fish and jerk chicken are just a few samples to make you whet your appetite. The Place Bonaventure will be transformed into a Caribbean Paradise catering to live Caribbean orchestras, Steelband & Caribbean D.J's. Experience the excitment from 12:00 to 20:00

The profits will be donated to help the fondation 'Triumph Thru Adversity' put unfortunate youth in the renowned St. Pius X Culinary Institute.
